Sarah Hersh is an Atlanta-based composer and new music advocate who is particularly interested in promoting the music of women composers. Recent commissions include works for Juxtatonal, Daraja Music Initiative, and Height Difference Duo. Her work has been performed in the United States and Europe, as well as in Tanzania. She holds a BA in music from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota and her MM in composition from the University of Florida. Sarah's primary composition teachers include Paul Richards, Phillip Rhodes, and Roger Ames. She is also an Artistic Director of the Atlanta-based new music group Terminus Ensemble. Sarah is a member of ASCAP.
