Sarah Hersh is an Atlanta-based composer and new music advocate who is particularly interested in promoting the music of women composers. She holds a BA in music from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota and her Master of Music degree in composition from the University of Florida. Her work has been performed in the United States and Europe, as well as in Tanzania, by Clarinets for Conservation/Daraja Music Initiative, Duo46, Terminus Ensemble, Diagenesis, Juxtatonal, Transient Canvas, Out of Bounds Ensemble, the Florida Chamber Saxophonists, and the University of South Florida Wind Ensemble, as well as other performers and ensembles. Sarah has studied composition with Paul Richards, Paul Koonce, Phillip Rhodes, Conrad Cummings, Michael Wittgraf, and Roger Ames. She is also an Artistic Director of the Atlanta-based new music group Terminus Ensemble. Sarah is a member of ASCAP.
